- Account data: name, email, password hash, profession, specialty, country, professional registration details (when you choose to verify).
- Profile data: CV, qualifications, experience, languages, publications, endorsements, profile photo.
- Activity data: jobs viewed and applied to, knowledge articles read, posts, comments, messages, search queries.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, timestamps, referrer URL, approximate location derived from IP.
- Communications: messages you send us, support requests, survey responses.
3. How we use your data
- To operate the platform: jobs board, Knowledge Hub, Clinical Exchange, News Feed, Messages and Marketplace.
- To match you with relevant jobs, content, contacts and curated marketplace products.
- To verify professional credentials when you request verification.
- To send transactional emails (account, applications, password reset) and, where permitted, product and editorial updates.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and protect the integrity of the network.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Legal bases (UK / EU GDPR)
- Contract: to provide the services you sign up for.
- Legitimate interests: to improve the platform, secure it, and build a trusted healthcare network.
- Consent: for optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies, and processing of special-category data you voluntarily share (e.g. health-related specialty content).

5. Sharing your data

Connected Medics is intended for medical professionals aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
